
Application for Opioid Settlement Funds
Thank you for your interest in applying for opioid settlement funding through the Weber County Opioid Settlement Committee. This information serves to inform and guide you through the application process, funding eligibility, and program expectations as part of our ongoing commitment to address the opioid crisis in our community.
Purpose of the Committee
The Weber County Opioid Settlement Committee was established to oversee the distribution of opioid settlement funds to support initiatives that mitigate the impacts of opioid use disorders through prevention, reduction in overdose rates, and assisting individuals in treatment and recovery. These funds aim to support local organizations actively working to improve health outcomes related to opioid misuse in Weber County.

- Funding Period: Yearly with possibility of future renewal determined by results

Who Should Apply?
We welcome applications from local non-profit organizations, healthcare providers, community coalitions, and other qualified entities that provide direct services or education related to opioid prevention, treatment, and recovery. Preference will be given to programs with measurable outcomes and demonstrated effectiveness in addressing the above stated purpose.
Eligible Program Areas Include:
- Prevention Initiatives: Educational campaigns and community programs that deter opioid use
- Recovery Services: Support groups, treatment centers, and rehabilitation services
- Public Health Programs: Efforts to reduce harm, such as naloxone distribution, healthcare access, and overdose prevention

Application Submission Details
Applications for the Weber County opioid settlement funds will be accepted through October 15, 2025. Please submit a complete application that clearly outlines your program's goals, anticipated impact, and intended use of funds.
Funding Award Process
The Weber County Opioid Settlement Committee will review all applications after the submission deadline on October 15, 2025, and make recommendations to the Weber County Commission to allocate funds (pending availability). Grant recipients will be notified following the review period.
